February unconditional love Mini Course

I first learned about unconditional love from the animal kingdom. Specifically a yellow lab mix named Beell. He was the world to me when I was a little kid and my heart vibrated with unconditional love whenever I spent time with him. I’ve had doggie and kitties in my life since then and just thinking of them causes my heart to generate unconditional love. For other people, thinking about a baby causes their heart to generate unconditional love. And each of us has something that can inspire our heart to beat to the vibration of unconditional love.

Unconditional love is a vibration. Vibration is information, just like the information broadcast on the radio or the video you play on your cell phone.

The science and spirituality of unconditional love can be found across many disciplines. Before we go into some examples, let’s first examine the nature of unconditional love. Unconditional love is comprised of three elements:

— Acceptance & Unconditionality

— Mindfulness & Presence

— Love & Appreciation

As studied in terminally ill patients, acceptance brings us more peace, opens our minds, and calms our nervous system. Documentary by Roslyn Dauber, entitled “A New Understanding” (2017).

We are thinking and seeing our options most clearly when we are in a state of acceptance, which can make the difference between surviving and not surviving a situation. Laurence Gonzales, Deep Survival: Who Lives, Who Dies, and Why (W. W. Norton & Company 2004).
